Little Turkey Girl

Meaghan loved Turkey Day! She loved the turkey and mashed potatoes at dinner and insisted on sitting with her cousins Lauryn and Belle to have dinner. We had quite the crowd, all of Michael's side of the family was there and Meg made two side trips, one to visit her Grammy's family and the other to visit Grandma and Grandpa T. Meg really enjoyed all her cousins, playing football and watching Elf. What a great Thanksgiving!

18 months old!

Meg is 18 months old! That's a year and a half! We can barely believe it! She talks up a storm- her favorite phrase is "No Way!". She repeats everything, can name her eyes, mouth, nose, ears, knees and toes, and runs like none other. It's just so hard to believe that she started out so small. She keeps us laughing everyday and we have so much fun with her. We are constantly saying to each other "She's great, isn't she??" and the answer is always, "yes, yes she is."
Just for the record, her latest stats:
Height- 32 3/4 inches tall (btwn. 75th and 90th percentile for her age)
Weight- 25 pounds, 8 ounces (50th percentile for her age)

Halloween!

Halloween was great! Meg was out little buglet and looked adorable in her little costume with her butterfly wings. Michael went as Handy Manny and he certainly looked the part! We invited the nieces, Michael's Grandparents, his mom, his brother and my friends, Becky, Nick, and their kids, Jake and Maddie to come over, have chili and go trick or treating. Meg has such a great time and even said "thank you!" It was soo cute!

Carving Pumpkins!

Daddy made Meglet a Minnie Mouse pumpkin and a Handy Manny pumpkin. Meg just didn't understand what we were doing with the pumpkins in the house! I love this picture at the bottom- Meg was talking with the pumpkin I carved- obviously not as artistic as Daddy's pumpkins!

Fall Fun!

We spent Saturday at a local farm, picking out our pumpkins, guzzling apple cider and enjoying a hay ride and corn maze with my great Grandma, grandma Beth, Mama, Daddy and my cousins Belle and Lauryn. I had so much fun! I followed Grandma Beth and my cousins in the corn maze and kept yelling "GO!". It was a little chilly, but I loved picking out my pumpkin- small and cute, just like me!

Kalahari, Part 1

We took a little pre school year vacation. We've been really busy this summer and Michael and I decided it would be a good idea to get away for a couple of days before the craziness starts.
Meg had so much fun! She and Daddy hopped right in once we got there.
We played in the wave pool with the floaties.
Meglet remembered these little bubblers from last time and spent a good 10 minutes just playing with them.

Daddy and Meg, enjoying the wave pool. Look at those smiles!

Kalahari, Part 2

More pictures of all the fun we had at Kalahari!

Meg fell asleep right in the middle of all the fun, but Mama and Daddy both sat in the shade with her to keep her company

Daddy won this ball at Kalahari in the arcade. On the walk back to the room, Meg showed everyone in the hallway my ball, telling each person "ba ball!" in a very excited tone of voice!

Bounce...bounce...bounce!

Earlier in the spring, I bought Meg a inflatable bouncy... thing. I finally blew it up for Her and she love bouncing on it.
Wait... is it both feet together to jump, or left than right, or right than left????
I never remember...

My enthusiam for this giant bouncy thing is truly unbridled!

Look! My bouncy thing and I match!
(and Mama didn't do that on purpose...although that is something she would do!)

Listen to me!

In the past couple of days, Meg has finally have been getting her point across! She's talking! Actually, She's doing quite a bit of repeating and am learning a word or two a day! In the last 2 days, she learned "shoe" (pronounced "oo"), "flower" (pronounced "hour") and "apple" which sounds just like it's supposed to!

A trip to the Rainforest

Michael and I thought that it would be a good idea to buy a zoo membership, which means that we get in for free and can come as many times as we want. That's good, since Meglet loves the animals!

Lemme in to see those monkeys!!!!

Look at that!

Meg really likes the primates, especially the orangatans. They have a little baby, like me, who is so fun to watch.

Irish Heritage Festival

The 3 of us went to the Irish Heritage Festival last weekend, since Mama is a quarter Irish and it just looked like fun.

Look, Daddy and Meaghan match!

Mama and Meaghan fit right in with our fair skin, blue eyes and reddish blonde hair!

They had a great barn full of Irish dogs. This Irish setter thought Meg was the cat's meow! Meg loved his green boa!

This is an Irish wolf hound. Her name was Bella and she was 17 months old- just a few months older than Meg is ! She is certainly much taller and much, much heavier- she weighed just over 100 pounds! Big doggie!

A dip in the hot tub

We emptied out and cleaned the hot tub, then filled it with water cool enough for Meg to swim in!
Meg and I went in together and Meg relaxed in this fun floaty thing that kept the sun off her face.
Daddy pulled out these squashy balls that Meg could throw at Mama.

Meglet, the water baby!

My first visit to Mill Hollow

Shhhh.... I have a secret. Meg's a duck whisperer. At least that's how it seems! Anytime Meg goes anywhere where ducks are, they are attracted to her like, well, ducks to water, even when she doesn't have bread to feed them. (Although this time she did!) Meaghan, Mama, Daddy and Grammy went to Mill Hollow to feed the ducks and have a picnic. As you can see from the pictures, the Meg and the ducks really liked each other!

Blueberry Picking

Daddy, Mama and I went with Great Grandma Shirley and Great Grandpa to pick blueberries. I quickly figured out how to pick them and Great Grandma helped me pick only the ripe ones. I ate lots and lots!

Look at all the blueberries!

Mama and Daddy picked about 10 pounds of blueberries and I ate at least a pound all by myself!

Grandma and I, picking blueberries

4th of July

For the 4th of July, Meg got to see fireworks for the first time! We had a cookout at our house, just the 3 of us and then went to Grandpa's house to watch the fireworks over the lake.

Oooo...pretty!

Party Girls!

My first taste of corn! Yum!

Daddy, explaining why the University of Michigan stinks like my diaper.

Flag...what a tasty treat!
